Welcome to the Rolling Rainforest, Discovery Creek's mobile site! The Rolling Rainforest
may look like a 53-foot tractor trailer...but once inside you are magically transported
to a neotropical rainforest with species from Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Central
America.
During your journey you'll see strangler fig trees, smell vanilla orchids, touch a real stream,
and spy parrots in the treetops. You will have the opportunity to explore lush tropical foliage filled with more than
80 different types of animals and plants that live in the rainforest. This diversity is the same as
that which you would find in an area of similar size in an actual tropical rainforest.
More than an educational and sensory experience, the Rolling Rainforest
is designed to help visitors understand the importance of rainforests to the health
and well-being of our planet and all of its inhabitants. From the air we breathe
to the coffee and chocolate we drink and eat, the rainforest and its products are everywhere in our daily lives.
In addition to helping us appreciate the beauty, biodiversity, and value of
the rainforest ecosystem, the Rolling Rainforest's educational programs encourage learners to become keen observers of all natural environments, including the one in which
we live.
